Berkshire Blisters (Reading KENRIC Group)
The Berkshire Blisters is a gay women's social group, which has over 200 members. We live in a wide catchment area ranging from Swindon in the West to London in the East, Bicester in the North to Winchester in the South but the majority come from East Berks or South Bucks. Membership is free and new members are very much welcomed and included.
Most of the women in the group are in their 30s to 50s, but some are younger and some older. We come from all walks of life and all professions from farmer to pharmacist. Some have been married and have children, some have always been certain of their sexuality and others have discovered it late in life. And we have a fairly even split of singles and couples.
Our monthly e-mailed newsletter offers a wide mix of activities cycle rides, cinema, barbecues, badminton, canoeing, quizzes, city breaks, camping, karting, concerts, clubbing, pubbing, hostelling, five-a-side football, theatre, rounders, games nights, meals out, meals in, dancing, discos and, of course, a monthly Berkshire Blisters walk of around four to five miles and ending with a pub lunch. .
