| BeINTERACTIVE BeInteractive BeInteractive Confidential online support and information Message ‘Beyouonline’ Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm – 9:30pm BeInteractive is an instant messaging service that runs alongside the BeYou helpline. A completely confidential facility, BeInteractive enables LGBT people to access support and information on a wide range of issues – from coming out and sexual health, to where to go on a Saturday night. BeInteractive uses Yahoo! Instant Messenger to link online users directly to trained BeYou volunteers, operating under the ID of Beyouonline. You can download a copy of Yahoo Instant Messenger here. At BeYou, we know that not everybody is comfortable talking on the phone – especially about issues that are highly sensitive to them. We also know that for some people, online is the most convenient way of connecting directly to the BeYou service. That’s why we developed BeInteractive, providing another forum in which LGBT people can talk to us about what’s on their mind. The convenient, confidential instant messaging service also acts as an effective ‘stepping stone’ for anyone considering ringing the helpline or coming to chat to us face-to-face at the Thursday night drop-in.
