Last Thursday of every month
7.30pm to 9pm
A confidential service for those
seeking face-to-face contact and discussion with our trained Gay
and Lesbian volunteers.
Covering all topics of Gay and Lesbian life including 'coming
out', sexual health, mental health, relationships, domestic abuse,
and local advice and information. The service is run by trained
people who are easy to talk to and willing to offer support. The
format of this group is informal and friendly, usually meeting over
a coffee round a table although we will arrange a more private
one on one discussion, if needed.
We host BeHERE once
a month at The Workhouse Cafe,10 - 12 King
Street, Reading (part of George Hotel). Although this is not a
'gay' venue, the cafe supports many different lifestyles and
backgrounds, with strong anti-homophobic polices. You can find us
usually at the quieter, rear of the cafe. Just look out for the
BeHERE sign.
Alternatively we will meet people at 8pm at the front lobby, if
you require assistance or moral support.
We look forward to
meeting you soon!
If you require more
information please ring the beYOU
Helpline
Thanks to local sexual health clinics
we are also able to provide free condoms/lube
and dental dams as well as a range of leaflets on
sexual health issues.
Note: Where appropriate we can help people meet other lesbians
and gays. However, we are not a sex contact service and we are not
able to give out information on local cruising areas.
