Provides information and a range of support services to people
living with HIV, their partners, families and carers.
TVPS has an extensive range of services available to their
client members, that have been developed over the last 19 years.
They are split into four main areas, Frontline and Community
Services.
Frontline
For those infected and affected by HIV. Which include; Self-help Support Groups, The Terry Tunnicliff Fund, Complementary Therapies, Counselling, Befriending Scheme, various workshops promoting skills in Art and Design and Computer courses as a part of our 'Back to Work' strategy. Community For those infected and affected by HIV. Which include; Transport Services, Outreach development. Information and Resources Library, Free Internet access and Email facilities, Free Subscription to their @TVPS Newsletter for those affected by HIV, to prevent isolation. Volunteering Thames Valley Positive Support will always be in need of willing volunteers. Over many years, TVPS has run its services through the dedication and the commitment of our volunteer force. Full and extensive training is given to those wishing to volunteer for them. Training Thames Valley Positive Support has a full and extensive training initiative. As well as HIV Awareness and important training courses given to our volunteer's. We also offer a wide range of training courses to Statutory and Voluntary Agencies, including Schools and Colleges.e-mail: reading@tvps.org.uk
