Finances

As previously mentioned our finances are in a perilous state and need to be addressed at a matter of urgency. We will increasing the level of grant requests from local statutory authorities and charitable grant making bodies. We will have to increase our fundraising activities amongst the local communities and seeking to increase individual giving though standing orders and gift aid.

Non-contact volunteers

Whilst we have a few non-contact volunteers who serve us on committee roles we have not been successful at appointing volunteers to roles such as fund raising, marketing, PR, publicity and event management.

IT project

We have been successful at recently obtaining an Awards for All grant to renew our office computer, get broadband internet access and develop our online management system.

Promotion

We will be seeking to review our promotional and advertising activities in order to increase our visibility and profile.

25th birthday celebrations

beYOU will be twenty-five years old this time next year, and we are already looking for innovative ways to celebrate this major event. We would love to hear from you with ideas or offers of help.

Research Project

beYOU in partnership with Grey & Gay is in the process of commissioning a major research project into the needs of gay, lesbian and bisexual adults in Berkshire. We will keep you informed of our progress.
